A Presentation of the InfraGard National Members Alliance and NEC National Security Systems Sponsor Series
Human trafficking and child sexual exploitation are among America’s most disturbing crimes. Often illustrated by grim statistics, their true toll can only be found in the real-life experiences of individuals whose lives are forever changed when they are victimized as modern-day slaves. This webinar, second in a six-part signature series, will shine a light on the human toll, from the loss of freedom and dignity to reclaiming power and purpose to make the world a better place – hear two stories:

1. A Survivor’s Story – Hear the inspiring true story of Dr. Suamhirs Piraino-Guzman, who will share his harrowing story of overcoming child sexual exploitation and human trafficking to inspire the law enforcement and security fields to take action against these heinous crimes. Today, Dr. Piraino-Guzman is a Behavioral Neurologist and Clinical Psychologist and public advocate. Attendees will also learn innovative methods of victim engagement and victim-centered principles to support human trafficking survivors.

2. The U.S. v. Jonathan & Jennifer Gastelum – A Case Study of Husband and Wife Offenders – Assistant U.S. Attorney Mandy Griffith, Southern District of California, will present a case study discussing how an online chat with an undercover led state and federal authorities to identify defendants who were engaged in online exploitation and hands-on offenses. Ms. Griffith specializes in child exploitation cases and serves as the U.S. Attorney’s Office Project Safe Childhood Coordinator.
