National Sector Security and Resilience Program (NSSRP)
With younger millennials and Gen Z’ers now entering our workforce alongside current longtime professionals, business continuity training must be comprehensive and exciting. Long gone are the days of dry material on critical processes and administrative procedures. BC is not an operational footnote. It is a substantial element of any organization’s processes and must be emphasized as such. Workforces now want to know the Who, What, When, Where, Why, and How of continuity, and engage them in a meaningful, bi-directional conversation about recovery and resilience, so all are trained on the BC plan and how to implement it effectively. This presentation, run by a third-generation business continuity professional and certified Master Business Continuity Professional, will provide an introduction into how to design and implement a BC training that is engaging and informational for all levels of an organization. You will learn the lessons from teaching BC to some of the most challenging institutional workforces: restaurants, bars, nursing homes, charter schools, faith-based organizations and other commercial facilities, which can be applied to any organization, public or private.
