Li-ion battery fires burn very hot and emit toxic gases. These fires present new and unique challenges to personal and property safety. During this presentation, you will learn how car manufacturers design electric vehicle (EV) battery packs with safety in mind, the risks associated with a Li-ion thermal runaway, and tactics to minimize risk to personnel and property. The highly anticipated 2024 FBI Office of Private Sector Analysts’ Open House will take place November 7, and this year’s theme is AI: The Path Forward. With the growing prevalence of artificial intelligence (AI), there is a need for the private sector and U.S. government to collaborate to better understand emerging trends, threats and opportunities related to AI.
