IMA Webinar: Infrastructure Liaison Officer (ILO) Course—Part 1
Presented by InfraGard Los Angeles
Completion of both Parts 1 & 2 of this course will certify you as an Infrastructure Liaison Officer (ILO).
The ILO course, established nearly 16 years ago, is a cornerstone of Homeland Security training tailored for the InfraGard and Critical Infrastructure Protection community. Its mission is to empower private sector participants with the knowledge and tools necessary to identify and assess potential threats, prevent attacks, and mitigate hazards affecting critical infrastructure. This online class is delivered over two consecutive days. Attendees must complete both sessions and pass their respective quizzes to earn the ILO Certificate.
Course Details:

  • Part 1: Tuesday, January 14, 2025, 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM PST
  • Part 2: Wednesday, January 15, 2025, 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM PST

The course will cover topics such as violent extremism, terrorism, hybrid warfare, state actors, and criminal threats to critical infrastructure.

Decoding Human Trafficking: Insights from the FBI’s Human Trafficking Unit

Intelligence Analysts from the FBI’s Crimes Against Children Human Trafficking Intelligence Unit will provide an in-depth exploration of human trafficking. This session will cover:

  • The definition and various forms of human trafficking.
  • Key indicators used to identify different types of trafficking.
  • Insights into how the FBI’s specialized unit gathers, analyzes, and applies intelligence to support law enforcement.

Behavioral Threat Assessment Units: A Guide for State and Local Law Enforcement to Prevent Targeted
Violence (1 CPE)

A Special Presentation of InfraGard National Members Alliance & U.S. Secret Service National Threat Assessment Center (NTAC)
Note: This is an “InfraGard Members Only” program
For over 20 years, the U.S. Secret Service National Threat Assessment Center (NTAC) has conducted research on the thinking and behavior of individuals who commit acts of targeted violence. NTAC provides guidance and recommendations to help prevent future tragedies.

This session will highlight NTAC’s recently published framework designed to help state and local law enforcement establish behavioral threat assessment units (BTAUs) in their communities. The guidance includes actionable steps based on the Secret Service’s behavioral threat assessment model to proactively identify, assess, and intervene with individuals posing a risk of conducting targeted violence.

Hot Yoga Tallahassee: A Case Study of Misogynistic Extremism (1 CPE)
A Special Presentation of InfraGard National Members Alliance & U.S. Secret Service National Threat Assessment Center (NTAC)

This presentation will examine the background of the attacker who carried out an incident of targeted violence at a Hot Yoga studio in Tallahassee, FL, which resulted in the deaths of two women and injuries to four others. It will describe the concerning behaviors exhibited by the attacker, which began at a young age and continued up to the time of the attack.

Additionally, it will highlight a behavioral-based approach to prevention that includes identifying individuals who elicit concern in others, gathering information from multiple sources to assess the risk of harm posed, and managing the risk by determining the proactive interventions and assistance needed to lower that risk.
