GSX 2022 PRE-CONFERENCE WORKSHOP: PRESENTED BY INFRAGARD NATIONAL MEMBERS ALLIANCE

TITLE: Introduction to Digital Exhaust, Compromised Digital Identities, and Mitigating Digital Threats to One’s Personal Protection and Physical Security

DATE: Sunday, September 11th from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm

LOCATION: Westin Peachtree Plaza, Atlanta, GA

DESCRIPTION: The connection between today’s unique cyber-social threats and physical security, to include personal and executive protection, continues to be blurred with the increased use of online communication in forums, chat rooms, and the Darknet. Today’s bad actors leverage digital exhaust, an individual’s PII and open-source intelligence (OSINT) to threaten, intimidate and execute crimes, presenting unique threats to companies and executives alike.

However, through applied protections of one’s digital exhaust – the digital trail of information and data you leave online – organizations and individuals can be alerted to dangerous “personal data leaks” and mitigate risks proactively. Using content contained within the Digital Exhaust Opt Out Guidecreated by the FBI, this INMA certificate program will empower individuals and organizations with the knowledge needed to protect people, assets, and operations from the threats posed by digital exhaust. This workshop will educate you on the different types of digital exhaust and provide you with steps for identification, mitigation, and appropriate countermeasures when theft or manipulation of one’s digital exhaust or digital image occurs.
