This event is open to all North Texas InfraGard members.

Domestic Terrorism Threat Overview – SSA Nicholas Caslen
SSA Nicholas Caslen has been employed as a Special Agent of the FBI since January 2011. SSA Caslen’s first assignment was with the Joint Terrorism Task Force (JTTF) in Wichita, KS, where he investigated crimes of international terrorism. Of note, SA Caslen served as a case agent on the investigation of Terry Loewen who was arrested and convicted of attempting to detonate a VBIED at the Wichita Airport. SSA Caslen transferred to the Washington Field Office JTTF in 2015, where he continued to investigate issues related international terrorism. While at the Washington Field Office, SSA Caslen served as a case agent on several investigation into individuals who were arrested for crimes of terrorism to include Nicholas Young, a former Metro Transit Police Officer who was convicted of attempting to provide material support to the Islamic State of Iraq and ash-Sha’am (ISIS) in 2016. In February of 2019, SSA Caslen transferred to the FBI Counterterrorism Division/International Operations Section. In 2021 SSA Caslen transferred to the FBI Dallas Field Office where he currently serves as the SSA over the Domestic Terrorism squad in Dallas, TX. Prior to joining the FBI, SSA Caslen was a Regulatory Inspector for the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) at Washington Dulles International Airport.
