Even though COVID-19 is the biggest news of 2020, the cyber criminals have not taken a break. In fact, cyber incidents have continued to rise through the year, perhaps as the bad actors seek to take advantage of vulnerabilities in our “new normal” – everyone working from home.

The Birmingham’s Chapter August meeting speaker will be, David Forrestall, CISSP, CISA, the Founder and Managing Partner at SecurIT360, a full-service specialized Cyber Security and Compliance consulting firm with offices in Birmingham and Chicago.

David will give first hand accounts of recent, local ransomware cases, including the  investigations, negotiations, and recovery from the initial attack.
