Electrical Power Grids are part of critical infrastructure, however, the industrial control systems (ICS), the Supervisory Control & Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems, and IP/digital management and financial systems are at risk. The lack of integration of analog and digital systems leaves opportunities for cybercriminals to exploit. A brief analysis of how these systems work and how they are structured and how they can be exploited will be examined. Then a brief look at the future of wireless electrical power transmission will be examined and efforts underway to deliver an early Tesla theory, to deliver the Zenneck Wave on an industrial level. Delivery of the Zenneck Wave in wireless electrical power transmission will have an effect on delivery of electrons to all industries the same way the Internet has had on the delivery of data, voice, and video content to users and receivers. However, the US is not the only country pursuing the wireless transmission of electricity. We will discuss where the competition stands in this effort and what we need to do to protect this effort.
