Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) is a multi-disciplinary approach to crime prevention that uses urban and architectural design and the management of manmade and natural environments. This workshop will introduce the concept of CPTED and demonstrate its use within an energy sector facility. It will present ways to apply CPTED principles without breaking the bank on upgrades or technology. When properly applied, CPTED can drastically reduce crime, enhance the aesthetics of your facility, and create a safer environment.
Learning Objectives: Upon completion of this webinar, the attendee will:
1. Be able to describe what CPTED is and the benefits gained through its application.
2. Learn how CPTED can be applied in the Critical Infrastructure Protection environment.
