The 2026 North Texas InfraGard Annual Conference isn’t just another cybersecurity conference—it’s an opportunity to go behind the scenes of one of the nation’s most complex critical infrastructure environments and hear directly from the leaders responsible for keeping it secure.
DFW International Airport is far more than an airport. Covering 17,207 acres—larger than the island of Manhattan—it operates as a city within a city, complete with its own police department, fire department, emergency medical services, emergency management, cybersecurity operations, and hundreds of interconnected technology systems supporting nearly 1,800 flights every day.

We’ll begin the day with an Opening Ceremony featuring the Presentation of Colors, remarks from FBI Dallas Special Agent in Charge R. Eric Bowerman, Chief Information Security Officer for DFW International Airport, will provide an inside look at protecting a “city within a city.” Learn how his team defends hundreds of interconnected operational and information technology systems while ensuring airport operations continue safely and efficiently every minute of every day.
🚔 FIFA World Cup 2026: Lessons from One of North Texas’ Largest Security Operations
When the FIFA World Cup came to North Texas, DFW Airport’s CEO described it as “nine Super Bowls.”
For the first time, regional Chiefs of Police from DFW Airport, Dallas, Arlington, and Euless will come together for a candid discussion on preparing for one of the largest security operations in our region’s history.
Moderated by the FBI, this panel will explore what worked, what challenged their teams, lessons learned, and the operational successes that will shape future large-scale events. Expect valuable insights into unified command, intelligence sharing, interagency coordination, and critical decision-making under pressure.
🛸 Counter-UAS: Defending the Airspace Above America’s Airports
Drones have evolved from a nuisance into a genuine aviation safety and security concern.
This session will examine today’s counter-UAS technologies, the impact of the SAFER SKIES Act, legal authorities, and the coordinated response between airports, the FAA, law enforcement, and federal partners when unauthorized drones threaten active airspace.
Attendees may also have the opportunity to observe a live Counter-UAS demonstration following the presentation, subject to operational availability.

How do you secure more than 17,000 acres of active airport operations?
This unique session explores how DFW Airport combines AI-enabled surveillance, advanced perimeter detection, environmental management, wildlife mitigation, and cybersecurity to protect one of the nation’s most critical transportation hubs from both human and natural threats.
👥 Insider Threats: From the Ramp to the Cockpit
More than 65,000 badged employees work within secure areas of DFW Airport.
Drawing on real FBI and TSA case studies, this session will examine insider threats in aviation, including smuggling, espionage, sabotage, and trusted-access abuse, while highlighting practical strategies organizations can use to recognize warning signs and strengthen insider risk programs.
