 ng exciting opportunities for both the public and private sectors. And yet
 \, conflicts will also emerge from these opportunities. Beyond recent dram
 atizations of commercial and political disputes in space\, satellites alre
 ady impact astronomy and science. The resolution of these present and futu
 re issues will depend on the application of domestic and international spa
 ce law. Existing for more than 60 years\, space law remains largely esoter
 ic and arguably underdeveloped to adequately address the challenges of a s
 pace-faring world. This primer on space law will discuss its jurisdictiona
 l scope and conflicts\; shed light on existing disputes and potential reso
 lutions\; highlight near and far term issues\; and outline a construct to
