DESCRIPTION:\n\nYou are invited to register for the event RANSOMWARE: FACTS
 \, THREATS\, and COUNTERMEASURES: Building Effective Partnerships between 
 Law Enforcement and Private Sector. This event is an open house hosted by 
 the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the United States Secret Ser
 vice (USSS).\n\nThe purpose of this event is to enhance collaboration betw
 een private sector organizations\, state and local agencies\, and federal 
 law enforcement agencies on ransomware.   Session attendees will gain in
 sight on ransomware\, which has become a significant threat to U.S. busine
 sses and individuals\, and ways to prepare for a ransomware attack on thei
 r organization.\n\nDue to the significant uptick of ransomware attacks and
  their threat to U.S. businesses and individuals\, the FBI and the USSS ar
 e working together to provide up-to-date ransomware intelligence to our pr
 ivate industry partners.  Held at the unclassified level\, these ransomwa
 re briefings will provide an overview of ransomware\, information sharing
